Cookies and Similar Technologies
In force from 29 October 2026. Last updated: 29 October 2026.
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use similar technologies: pixels, browser storage, session recording, and reports sent from our server. We use three kinds:
| Kind | What it does | Tools | Needs your consent? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | needed for the site to work or to remember your choices (your English / Hinglish choice and your cookie choice); in the app, keeps you signed in and secure; never used for advertising | our own | No — always on |
| Analytics | tells us which pages are visited and how the site is used; on some pages it records how the page was used (clicks, scrolls), with what you type masked | Google Analytics; Microsoft Clarity | Yes — off until you accept |
| Advertising | measures whether our ads on social media lead people to our site. If you accept Advertising and join the waitlist, our server tells Meta about the sign-up: it sends your email in hashed form (Meta can still match it to an account it already knows), your IP address, browser details, the page address and Meta's own cookie IDs. Without Advertising consent nothing is sent | Meta (Facebook / Instagram) Pixel and Conversions API | Yes — off until you accept |
- When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept all, Reject all or Choose. Analytics and advertising stay off until you accept them, and rejecting them doesn't stop you using the site or joining the waitlist.
- You can change your choice any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer; a withdrawn choice stops future data being sent.
- How long: website analytics 14 months; session recordings 30 days (saved recordings, heatmaps and summary reports up to 9 months).
- How these companies use data: How Google uses data from sites that use its services · Microsoft Privacy Statement · Meta Privacy Policy.
